LUNDHS Real Stone is a collection of 100% natural stones from Norway made from Larvikite and Anorthosite. Crafted by nature millions of years ago, the exceptional stones combine unique aesthetics with excellent performance to create the ideal surface choice for worktops, upstands and splashback panels. Each stone is available in different finishes and is the perfect choice for worktops, tiles, interior and exterior surfaces. Lundhs Real Stone is a selection of four natural stones; Lundhs Blue (stone type Larvikite), Lundhs Emerald (stone type Larvikite), Lundhs Royal (stone type Larvikite) and Lundhs Antique (stone type Anorthosite). Due to their resistance to heat, stains and scratches, all Lundhs Real Stone surfaces are maintenance-free and will last for a lifetime. |
What is Larvikite?
(Lundhs Blue, Lundhs Emerald, Lundhs Royal) Larvikite was formed by a magmatic (volcanic) reaction about 300 million years ago. The magma then hardened deep in the earth’s crust under high pressure and temperature. As the magma slowly cooled, the crystals were formed became uniform and similar in size. What is Anorthosite (Lundhs Antique)?
The Anorthosite, was formed by a magmatic (volcanic) reaction about 1000 million years ago. The magma hardened deep in the earth’s crust under high pressure and temperature (around 1000 degrees C). It cooled down slowly, which results in uniform crystals with similar size. Anorthosite is in general often referred to as granite due to its hard surface |
